WORK PROCESS
At BW we use three types of frameworks depending on the nature of the projects, these are:
- a) Initiation: The initiation phase is where a new project or project phase is formally initiated, it is where the project is officially authorized and the Project Manager is provided with the necessary information to initiate the project.
- b) Planning: The planning stage is where the project manager and project team perform a detailed analysis of the effort to be made to implement the project and the resources required, at this stage all project management plans are developed.
- c) Execution: The execution stage is where the tasks are performed (executed) according to plan, with the objective of achieving the previously defined deliverables within budget, scope, time and meeting any other objective established in the project.
- d) Monitoring and control: In the monitoring and control stage, project performance is measured according to the project management plan and change requests, including corrective actions, preventive actions and defect repair.
- e) Closing: The project closing stage includes administrative activities such as collecting and finalizing the documentation needed to complete the project, and will require some technical work to confirm that the final project product is acceptable.
- a) Product backlog elaboration: In this process we elaborate the project requirements using value-added and prioritization strategies ensuring that the team is focused on what brings the most value to the business.
- b) Iteration planning: In iteration planning the team identifies the requirements they will be working on in the coming weeks, focusing on choosing the requirements that add the most value to the business first.
- c) Iteration execution: In the execution stage of the iteration we focus on executing the deliverables agreed upon in the planning and ensure that the team is focused on the deliverables and do not have any impediments. In case any impediment arises the Project Manager will be in charge of removing it and mitigate the risks.
- d) Iteration review: At this stage the team presents to the stakeholders the deliverables performed in the iteration with the objective that the stakeholders accept the completion of the deliverables if they meet the acceptance criteria.
- e) Retrospective: In this process we analyze the activities that went well, the opportunities for improvement and the actions to implement in the next iteration to ensure continuous improvement.
